Project Rehoboth Update
After much prayer, searching and the church voting unanimously throughout our building search process, the Lord led our church to purchase a commercial condominium space at 633 Third Avenue, Suite 13E, NY, NY.
This is a beautiful space in a great building just a couple of blocks from Grand Central Station and the United Nations. We purchased 1410 square feet but the actual room we use is about 750 square feet.
We closed on this space in October, 2018. Pastor Carmine Carranante supervised the construction and we were able to occupy it in April, 2019.
We are truly excited and grateful for God’s wonderful provision for us. However we had hoped to purchase 3000 square feet, so, our space is not sufficient for our Sunday services so we still meet at PS 3 each Sunday. Therefore, our Project Rehoboth giving will continue until God provides an adequate space for all the needs of our church ministry.
Please continue to pray and ask God for our “Miracle in Manhattan” in providing an adequate place for our church family.
- One may ask, why purchase condominium space? There are spiritual, economic and operational advantages in office condominium ownership.
- Spiritually, it will provide every member a sense of ownership in our church, as well as be a home for Heritage that we can all know is the Lord’s as well as ours and be a permanent & unifying hub for our ministry.
- Economically, ownership will stabilize our occupancy costs and insulate us from the ever-increasing rents and uncertainties of leasing office space, thus saving money over time.
- Operationally, it will provide security from being displaced from rental property as we have many times during our history. Ownership means never being forced to move.
- Would you join us in making a personal sacrifice for this Christ-centered mission to fulfill our God-glorifying vision?
